I have been reading up on various forums that people are having similar issues where users are even watching something like a movie on Netflix and then it crashes and takes them to the log in screen. I currently have 10.10.5, 10.11.6 and now 10.12 on my Mac Pro, each on different hard drives. But it is important to have your old OS ready and waiting to fall back on, part of the reason why I prefer desktops over laptops, I can have multiple hard drives. Hopefully, by the end of this week I will have Sierra and all of my apps installed and find out if there are any issues and specifically with Harmony. I tend to think that starting fresh like this helps to get rid of what I call cruft, or odd bits and pieces and makes for a smoother experience.

I never just migrate over all of the apps from one to the other, and I always start from a nice clean install and then reinstall all of the apps, one by one. I always have two main SSDs, one for the previous OS, being 10.11.6, El Capitan, and a second for the new OS, being 10.12, Sierra. Anyway, I installed it on a second SSD and will slowly add apps to it and build it up. Yes, supposedly I wasn’t able to, Apple said it wasn’t supported but I never let that stop me. Well, I just, tonight, in fact, installed Sierra on my Mac Pro 2008. Will check out oliputland’s approach though. Which usually refers to a hardware issue, but as I said, my Mac keeps running without any problems as long as TB is not in use. Once that issue occurred, have you guys checked the console (applications/utilities/console)?Ĭom.: .gpuRestartĬom.2: UNBUNDLED ||| kernel ((null)) That’s why I’ve been using gfxCardStatus to force integrated only, no issues since then. So it appears to be a TB + Sierra issue indeed. Besides, I’m able to run Heaven benchmark for an hour with maximum settings, GPU starts boiling, still no artifacts or crashes at all.

I always assumed that my GPU was going bad, but now that you mention it, my Mac has never had any issues when not using Toon Boom. Never had anything like that on Harmony 12 and El Capitan. Since Harmony 14 and Sierra I’m having the exact same issue on my MBP 15" (mid 2014, Iris Pro + GT 750M).
